George Earl RICKER, 70, retired Erie Railroad telegrapher, died at his home, 302 Taylor Rd, Wednesday afternoon following a heat attack. Born in Green Springs, Feb 23, 1887, he had lived in this community most of his life. He attended the Mayflower Memorial Congregational Church and was a member of Mansfield Lodge No. 35, F&AM, Mansfield Chapter No 28 R.A.M. and Mansfield Council No 94 R&SM. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Lela G WOODHULL RICKER; one sister, Mrs Clemintine SAMPSEL, and one nephew, JH SAMPSEL, both of Mansfield. Funeral services will be conducted at the JH Finefrock and Sons Funeral Home Saturday at 3 pm by Rev C Robert Knittle, pastor of the Mayflower Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 pm today.
